The artist states, “With this body of work I wanted to incorporate textures and marks that mimic nature in fall. I adore when the temperatures drop and the differences outside in foliage and color. I mimicked these with the addition of colorful paper and hidden mark making. I didn't want to go too dark, but keep the joy of fall alive in these works and show how I feel when outside changes. Changing seasons, a lot of time, bring an increase in anxiety, I am experiencing that as we are in the last few months before we add baby #2 to our family. I am reminding myself to choose joy in these new seasons of change and I hope the colors and movement inspire you to choose joy as well in whatever new is coming."
