‘Looking Through’ a series by Audrey Gore is a fresh perspective on florals & vases and is here to bring happiness to your walls!

The flowers are joyful and intertwined, curiously dancing about. While the vases, inspired by Matisse's charcoal drawings, provide the forms with definition and texture.

The artist states, “I created this collection to change how we see something as familiar as a floral arrangement—to give it new meaning. Pulling inspiration from Matisse’s charcoal drawings, I kept the focus on the vases’ forms and thoughtfully used watercolors, which are fluid and unexpected, to contradict the sharp and intentional charcoal lines. The splashes about the paper are a way of displacing the element of water. The ability to look through the vases displays the beauty of the stems which typically go unnoticed. There is a close relationship between flowers and vases—much like human relationships, the two complement each other in many ways."
