The newest works on paper from Katie are some of the first pieces she’s made since taking an artist sabbatical. This series celebrates her return to painting and expresses a love of color that isn’t going anywhere. Colorful stacked shapes, perimeter lines, and vibrant fluorescents reflect Katie’s classic style of balancing color blocks with movement. Flowers, half moons, and quirky polka dots are meant to be an invitation to play and return to whimsy.
