'This collection took shape after a trip to the Caribbean. Huddled under a shade tree, sun hat pulled low, I sipped pina coladas, people-watched and started sketching figures in retro iterations of the iconic bikini. While the swimsuits on these Beach Babes look very different from the (ahem) cheekier versions I saw parading down the water’s edge, they celebrate and empower the wearer in equal measure. For these pieces I played with shapes, shadow and white space to create feminine figures in bright, bold colors.'
