"In this collection my main goal was to slow down. To paint carefully
and intuitively... thinking about each moment with the paint. With
these paintings I wanted to channel the feelings of growth, warmth,
and fresh starts. With springtime approaching I had fresh leaves and
new beginnings on the mind. In these pieces I underlaid marks and
built up the movement to portray growth and change in the pieces. I
hope when the viewer sees one of the pieces they see fresh light and careful steps."
